Celebrating 40 Years of Impacting Families
Since 1985, YPN has provided free prenatal and parenting education to families raising children from birth to kindergarten. You may have known us as MELD or Young Parents Network or YPN! In 2025, we will celebrate 40 years of empowering families and making generational change. The sparks that we ignited in our participants have transformed lives. YPN was built and has grown by the passion of so many who believe in our mission. This includes the thousands of families who allowed YPN to be a part of their story as well as our past and current supporters, donors, volunteers, staff and community partners. You are all an integral part of YPN’s story.
To celebrate this milestone, we hope to hear your story and invite all YPN families, past and present, as well as volunteers and community members to share your story and the impact YPN has had on you.
We have heard from several former YPN participants when out in the community, sharing the impact that YPN had on them, including one YPN mom from the 1990s who shared that ‘When I was a young mom, I came to your classes, and they helped me so much with my son. He is 28 now and doing great!’. It’s so important for our families who are in YPN programming now to hear these stories and hear that the work they are doing really makes a difference.
