Parents as Teachers Home Visitation
YPN offers no-cost services to help you thrive during pregnancy and early childhood:

Home visits with a YPN Parent Educator twice a month.
- Offered in Linn and Jones Counties for families with children ages 0-5.

Parents as Teachers curriculum delivered in the comfort of your home.

One-on-one support for new moms and dads as they transition into parenthood.

Access to the We Care Shop, where families earn points through healthy activities and redeem them for diapers, wipes, clothing, books, and baby essentials.

Support in understanding your child’s development, along with activities to help them grow.

Connections to local resources to support your family’s needs.

Building Bright Futures
YPN offers no-cost services to help you thrive during pregnancy and early childhood:

Weekly group meetings in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Offered in 7 languages: English, Spanish, French, Swahili, Lingala, Pashto, and Dari.

Serves Linn County parents of children ages 0–5, with classes organized by topic, language, child age, and dedicated groups for moms and dads.

Opportunities to connect with other moms and share experiences.
-
Transportation, on-site childcare, and a meal provided at each group.
-
Access to the We Care Shop, where families earn points for healthy behaviors to exchange for diapers, wipes, clothing, books, and baby essentials.

Extended Group Programming
YPN offers additional group programs for parents of children ages 0-18.
We Care Shop
- Provides essential items for families with children ages 0–5

Items include diapers, wipes, baby food, formula, clothing, toys, pack-n-plays, bouncers, hygiene products, and more

Families receive a point card and earn points through healthy behaviors, such as:

Attending well-child checks

Going to prenatal appointments
-
Signing up for community resources
-
Reading to their child
-
Reaching personal or family goals
-
And other positive activities
-

Families can then use their points to “purchase” items from the We Care Shop

Eastern Iowa Diaper Bank

Families can earn diaper points through:

Participating in prenatal or parenting programs

Completing well-child visits at EIHC and attending prenatal checks

Receiving WIC services

Helps reduce stress for families and ensures children’s basic needs are met.

Partnership between YPN, Eastern Iowa Health Center, and HACAP.

Proud member of the National Diaper Bank Network.

Community Day held during the last week of each month.
